Rookie Brody Dale scored twice as the Kelowna Chiefs upended the North Okanagan Knights 4-2 in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League play Sunday night at Rutland Arena.

Dale, a Quesnel native, netted the winner at 8:02 of the second period and added insurance on the power play with three seconds left in the same session. Dale has eight goals on the year.

His older brother, Brayden, fired his 13th goal of the season and Tyler Love supplied his sixth as the Chiefs improved to 20-17-2-2 for third in the Okanagan Division.

Cameron Welch, with his ninth, and Ryan Moon, with his 12th, on a power play, replied for the Knights, who are fourth in the Okanagan Division at 12-24-3-4. They are 10 points ahead of the Princeton Posse for the final playoff berth.

The Knights visit the 100 Mile House Wranglers (26-11-2-4) Friday night.
