The Vernon Cloverdale Paints Reds grounded Salmon Arm #3 6-5 in the Pee Wee baseball championship Friday night at Creekside Park.

Vernon scored two runs in the seventh inning for the playoff title. The strong pitching of Connor Jones, Marcel Green and Devin Jameson held the regular-season champion Shuswap crew to five runs.

Grayson Williamson hit a monster over-the-fence homer and was stellar behind the platefor the Reds.

The Reds advanced to the final with a 16-4 win over Salmon Arm #2 Thursday night.

Cole Pringle and Jaedon Rossner led the way on the hill, while James Walker and Richard Burden were solid at bat and made some key defensive plays. Several great defensive plays were turned in by Daniel McLennan in bother victories.

Other members of the championship team are Garrin Best, Jack Scully, Nolan Smyth and Katelyn Speck.
