Emmons earns gold with B.C.

Vernon’s Dylan Emmons helped Team B.C. claim gold at the Western Canadian Bantam Baseball Championships last weekend in Morden, Man.

Vernon’s Dylan Emmons helped Team B.C. claim gold at the Western Canadian Bantam Baseball Championships last weekend in Morden, Man.

Emmons went 11-for-16 at the plate and added five stolen bases to help B.C. go 5-0 in the tourney. He pitched against Manitoba and Saskatchewan, recording six strikeouts and allowing just three runs.

Emmons also competed with the Thompson Okanagan Zone 2 team in the B.C. Summer Games in Surrey in July. He also suited up for the Kelowna Reds All-stars this summer, helping then earn a berth in provincials in Aldergrove.
