Ewart, Rigsby take Juvenile titles

A.J. Ewart of Coquitlam carded a 2-under 69 Thursday to run away with the B.C. Juvenile Boys Golf Championships at Spallumcheen.

Ewart, who plays out Pitt Meadows, finished at 205, six strokes in front of Victoria’s Keaton Gudz.

Vernon’s Mac Gourdine tied for 14th spot with a final-round 74, giving him 221 over three rounds. Braeden Cooper of Vernon tied for 21st with a 75 Thursday. He finished at 226. There was a field 83 players with a cut after 36 holes.

On the girls’ side, Abigail Rigsby of Courtenay (Crown Isle) shot 65 Thursday to end up at 207, three strokes ahead of Surrey’s Hannah Lee. There was a field of 29 players.
