Fairfield crew on winning streak

Tayber McLean and Joey Mazzei pulled hat tricks as the red-hot Fairfield Marriot North Okanagan Legends ambushed Shuswap #2 11-1 in Pee Wee B lacrosse play Wednesday night at Enderby Arena.

Ephren Potter-Kramer and Jacob Fox each counted deuces, while Jacob Defeo had a single in front of Jeremy Gill.

The undefeated Legends got 3+1 from Mazzei in a 5-3 win over Penticton #2 Sunday at Rutland Arena.

Captain Ethan Harshenin and Wyatt Anderson also scored, while Jakob Aeichele and Jesse Godwin earned clutch assists. Gill recorded 21 saves.

The Legends unleashed 57 shots while enjoying period leads of 2-1 and 4-2.

In Saturday play in Rutland, Defeo and Anderson each pocketed 3+2 and Mazzeis scored three times as the Fairfield crew smothered Kelowna #2 12-1.

Harshenin produced 1+2, while Fox and Thomas Pain supplied singles. Kohl Killingbeck was dynamite defensively. Gill made 12 stops.

The Shepherd’s Hardware North Okanagan Legends #1 fell 8-7 to the Legends #2 in Novice action Tuesday night at Hassen Memorial Arena.

The Shepherd’s crew fought back to level the score before giving up two late goals. Tiegen Evans, Colton Colmorgen and Zac Milne each had a pair of goals, while Bradley Scabar had a single. Aidan Wattie notched a pair of assists while Cam Ward and Milne added helpers. Evan Hopkins was strong in net.

Gunnar Nyberg led North Okanagan #2 with a hat trick while Brady Kuziw and Carston Disher had two goals each. Nate Williamson added a goal and two assists and Jace Collard notched an assist in support of Tyler Martin.

Shepherd’s lost 9-5 to the the Shuswap Outlaws Sunday in Enderby.

Colmorgen led the hardware gang with a deuce, while Milne, Evans and Jakob Friesen garnered singles.

The Tim Hortons/Sun Valley Source For Sports Legend Tykes played a friendly with the Kelowna Kodiaks at Nor-Val Sports Centre.

 

Shaymus Foisy-Waterstreet and Grayson McKeown were fabulous in goal for the Legends, while Connor Johnson, Milani Ritchie and Wyatt Stowards turned in some great runs.
