Registration and planning for the Steve Nash Youth Basketball program in Vernon has been halted due to the ongoing labour dispute between teachers and government.
Hundreds of youth between kindergarten to Grade 8 have played in the program the last six years.
“During this dispute we are unable to access our local school gyms to provide our practices and games,” said hoop director Johnal Lee
“Our fall registration and start up is postponed until further notice. We apologize to all our loyal families for this frustration.”
We hope the current labour dispute in education will come to an end immediately and we will be able quickly communicate a registration and season start up as soon as possible.
Updates will be posted soon on our new website www.vernonbasketball.com.
