The Infonews.ca Newshound extended their North Okanagan Women’s Soccer Association Division 1 winning streak to 14 with a 5-0 win over the North Enderby Celtics Tuesday night at MacDonald Park.

Janessa Moore and Maria Thorlakson each recorded deuces for the Hounds, while Megan Prentice buried the final snipe

Moore supplied the winner with a 25-yard corker over keeper Katelyn Paulin after a feed from Jen Knopp. Thorlakson made it 2-0 on a pass from central midfielder Jasmine Whitling, named the Dairy Queen Lady of the Match.

Thorlakson upped the lead on a breakaway pass from Emily Salustro with Moore taking a pass from Whitling and going top cheddar for the 4-0 snipe. Prentice took a through ball from bestie Mary Bennett and deked Paulin for her tally. Eileen Fox registered the clean sheet.

Meanwhile, no wine was spilled on the field as the Shuswap Merlot dominated the VQA 6-0 in a North Okanagan Women’s Soccer Association Masters Division match.

VQA’s Bobbie Jo Gordon and Karen Benn shared keeper duties at Marshall Field #3.

In other Masters play, the Controllers beat the Courtesy Motor Sistas 4-2.

The first Sistas’ goal came from a throw-in by Carmen Kinneberg to Lan Kelley, who lobbed the ball from the 35, sending it over the keeper’s head into the top left corner.

The second goal came from a fast breakaway pass by Kyla Boyks to Diane Neudorf.

Most Sportsmanlike Player went to Wendy Bueckert for her constant presence on the ball. MVP went to keeper Wendy Nadeau for her dedication and happy attitude.

The Chick Kickers grounded the Shuswap Kaos 2-0 at Blackburn Park in Salmon Arm.

Jenn Kemper fed the ball to winger Tania Sladen, who made a beautiful cross to the steady foot of Michelle Loxam, who blasted it past the Kaos keeper.

The Kickers kept calm in the second half as Crystal Bergen passed the ball to Joanne Lockhart who tapped it through to a breaking Kemper for a finish to the inside post.

Winger Sharon Storms provided constant pressure all night and Robyn Sherwood was a wall in goal. Defenders Steph Stewart, Wendy Magnus, Shauna Duncan and Heidi Holtman left little space for the Kaos.

TED United of Salmon Arm grounded the Gray Monk Impact 3-0.

TED scored their first goal during a one-on-one with Impact keeper Shelinda Morin, while their second snipe was off a penalty kick.

The Impact’s Nicole Watson and Ashley Beuchler made challenging shots and were able to make runs into the box. Game MVP for the Impact was Vel Beaumont.
