Striker Raegan Russell pulled the hat trick as the Gray Monk Impact grounded Courtesy Motors Sista’s 5-1 in North Okanagan Women’s Soccer Association Masters Division play Tuesday night at Marshall Field #5.

Alicia Mcreary and Lori Phillip scored for the Impact, who took about 25 minutes to find their groove. Game MVP was Phillip, who donned the keeper gloves in the second half to give Shelinda Morin a time out. Phillip controlled the entire centre midfield with stellar ball skills and talented through balls for Russell.

Sherri MacDonald connected in the fifth minute for the Sista’s off a corner from Andrea Zubot. Dani Moffat of Sista’s was chosen Most Sportsmanlike Player.

Harmony Crockett bagged a deuce as VQA shut down Shuswap Merlot 5-0 at Blackburn Park.

Ginger Nickoli fancy footed her way into the six-yard line and opened the VQA scoring before Crockett went to work, converting a penalty kick after a hand ball and then going roof daddy from the far corner.

Teresa Collins made it 4-1 on a fray in front of the net and Carla Gibson completed the attack by going left, low corner.

Susan McKinnon provided two assists in support of Bobbie Jo Gordon and Sue Barss, who nicely shared the goalkeeping.

VQA got extreme play from Leah (The Wood) Willinger and Lindsay Smith at outside fullback.

Dr. Lee Dental Centre dispatched the Shuswap Kaos 5-2 in Salmon Arm.

The first goal deflected off Delinah Erbenich from a Deanna Baker shot minutes after she stepped on the pitch.

Erbenich kept the momentum going and converted a through ball from Jacquie Hansen after a booming kick from keeper Lisa Arrotta.

In the second half, Cindy Worth took a quick throw-in to a streaking Hansen on the wing and she crossed a beauty to Lori Shepherd to put Dr Lee up 3-1. Erin Scott connected on a rebound from a Hansen shot for the fourth snipe.

Julie Bolin hit a beauty header from the top of the 18 off a great cross from Hansen to complete the Dr. Lee attack.

Great hustle was turned in by Barb Levesque, Irene Arrotta and Bobbi Cormier controlling the middle. Amanda Bolton and Jennie Currie held the shots to a minimum with bold defensive play. Bolton was voted Player of the Game.

The Controllers shut down Rosters 2-0 at Marshall #4.

Angela Durfeld scored midway in the first half after a strong drive up the middle. Jacquie Nuyens clicked in the final seconds of the game, knocking the ball out of the air on a lovely cross from Emma Louie, who received the ball from a throw-in from Martina Allen).

Michelle Embleton was marvellous in recording the shutout. Elena Sookarow and Tara Murray were relentless in the midfield. Jessie Bicknell was voted Most Sportsmanlike Player.

The powerful TED United of Salmon Arm tripped up the Chick Kickers 3-1 at Marshall #3.

Mel Jacobs connected at 10 minutes with a gorgeous left-foot touch to the corner. Tania Sladen raced down the right flank and crossed to Jacobs.

It was 1-1 at the break, but United counted a deuce in second half. The Chick Kickers worked hard but lost striker Dawn Ansdell with a knee injury, leaving them short on firepower.

The Infonews.ca Newshounds brushed back the North Enderby Celtics 4-2 in Division 1 play at MacDonald Park.

NET went up early when Kendra Ostafie sent speedster Saige Woodliffe in on a breakaway.

Infonews equalized early in the final 45 and about 10 minutes later, a keeper clearance was intercepted in the air by Meghan Rydde, who sent Woodliffe in the clear yet again. The keeper challenged as Woodliffe slid to pop the ball up and over just under the bar.

The Hounds later tied it and added a late insurance marker.

Do it Drywall used a last-minute goal to tie the AF Blazers 3-3 in other Division 1 play at MacDonald Park.

Janessa Moore produced two goals for the Drywallers, while Kierra Bootsma chipped in with a single. Becky Summerfelt and Jennifer Kanester took turns in goal and did a fantastic job.

Hayley Ashworth bagged a deuce for the Blazers, while Linnea Gallardo scored once as the teams traded goals all night. It was 2-1 Drywallers at the half.
