The Vernon Jackals will host the Okanagan Rugby Union finals.

The Jackals clinched first place Saturday with a 37-12 victory over the Penticton Harlequins at Kings Park.

Both teams fielded much different rosters than they did in Week 1 of the season when Vernon also won 37-12.

The Jackals jumped out to an early 10-0 lead with big man Rich Rankin and Reece Milham both scoring their first tries of the season

The resilient Harlequins refused to go down quietly and before half-time, got five points from Cash Conibear.

The second half was a hard back and forth affair with both teams struggling to capitalize and put up points until the final 10 minutes when the Vernon back line went bonkers with scores by Bryan Cragg (3) and Greg Hyde.

Oliver Glaser recorded Penticton’s other try with Spencer Adams booting the conversion.

The second-place Harlequins,  host the Enderby-Salmon Arm Manthers June 18 in the semifinal.

The league final goes Saturday, June 25 at Grahame Park.
