Kennington does the Dub

After two years as runner-up, DJ Kennington wins Cruisin' the Dub 300 Canadian Tire NASCAR series race at MotoPlex Speedway Saturday night.

Third time was a charm for St. Thomas, Ont.’s DJ Kennington.

After two years as runner-up, DJ Kennington took the checkered flag at the Cruisin’ the Dub 300 Canadian Tire NASCAR series race at MotoPlex Speedway Saturday night.

There were countless leader changes and restarts throughout the race, but Kennington took the lead for good on lap 248, passing two-time defending champion Scott Steckley of Milverton, Ont. on the inside on turn two.

Saturday marks the third straight series victory for Kennington.
