There’s still time for kids to take part in a free golf experience at Vernon Golf and Country Club.
Over 500 golf courses in Canada are offering free golf to kids under the age of 16 who are accompanied by a paying adult during the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada’s (NGCOA) Take a Kid to the Course program.
The program is on until Sunday, July 9.
Vernon Golf and Country Club is one of the participating courses — the only one in Vernon. To book a tee time, contact the course directly at 250-542-0151.
Take a Kid to the Course is a family-oriented initiative that encourages seasoned, occasional and new golfers to bring their kid to the golf course for quality time in the fresh air.
“The Take a Kid to the Course program is a wonderful way for families to enjoy the game of golf together. I encourage parents across Canada to get outside and take advantage of the opportunity for kids to golf free,” says NGCOA Canada CEO Jeff Calderwood.
In addition to free golf, participants have the chance to win one of three sets of junior golf clubs courtesy of Tee-On.
Golfers can enter the contest by visiting kidsgolffree.ca/contest.
NGCOA Canada thanks its national sponsors for making Take a Kid to the Course possible: Tee-On Golf, the Toro Company, Bluewave Energy and Moneris.
