Knights record point in 100 Mile

The 100 Mile House Wranglers rallied to record a 3-2 overtime KIJHL win over the North Okanagan Knights Friday night.

The 100 Mile House Wranglers rallied to record a 3-2 overtime win over the North Okanagan Knights in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League play Friday night at the South Cariboo Rec Center.

Colin Robin put the Knights in front 1-0 at 3:03 of the second period, unassisted, with his 10th goal of the season.

Brandon Palik pushed it to 2-0 six minutes into the third period, from Jack Berger and Ryan Moon.

The Wranglers then netted goals exactly two minutes apart with Alex Meeker getting his 12th, from Austin Turner and Cole Zimmerman, at 9:01. Brett Harris fired his 12th, from Justin Bond and Alex Hanson for the equalizer.

D-man Tavi Roch supplied the winner at 2:41 of overtime, with Moon in the penalty box for tripping. Michael Lynch drew the assist on Roch’s fourth snipe of the year.

The Wranglers lead the Neil Murdoch DFivision at 27-11-2-4, while the Knights are fourth in the Okanagan Division at 12-24-3-0.

100 Mile House outshot the Knights 35-27 with Knights’ goalie Daniel Paul being named a star.

The Knights hosted the Summerland Heat Saturday night at Nor-Val Sports Centre.
