MacDonald, who helped the Burnaby Lakers win the national junior A Minto Cup last season, has a sparkling 8.43 goals against average, fourth best in the league.

A draft pick of the National Lacrosse League Philadelphia Wings, MacDonald is 6-2-2 with the third-place 8-7-2 Thunder, who trail the New Westminster Salmonbellies and Victoria Shamrocks.

MacDonald has played 725 minutes, second most in the WLA, while recording an .824 save percentage, fourth best.

The Vernon Re/Max Tiger grad made 39 saves as Langley clipped the Coquitlam Adanacs last Wednesday night at the Langley Sports Centre.

Meanwhile, the Armstrong Shamrocks and Vernon Tigers will play the third and deciding game of their Shaw Cup semifinal series tonight (7:30) at Hassen Arena since the ice has gone in at Nor-Val Sports Centre.

The Shamrocks evened the series Thursday night at Wesbild Centre with a 12-5 win. Vernon stopped the Shamrocks 9-8 in Game 1. Both teams finished at 6-6.

The league champion Kelowna Raiders (7-5) host the fourth-place Kamloops Rattlers (5-7) in Game 3 of their Okanagan X-treme Lacrosse League series tonight. The Cup final series will likely start Friday.

The provincial C championships are Aug. 19-21 in Prince George, but none of the Okanagan teams have committed to the invitational tournament. Four teams from the Lower Mainland and one each from Prince George, Red Deer and Mackenzie have confirmed entry.
