The Fulton Maroons opened the senior AA boys hoop season by winning the Westsyde Whundas Invitational in Kamloops.
The No. 4 Maroons stuffed the Whundas 92-51 in Saturday’s final. Tye Kitzman had 30 points, while Brandon, Isaac added 28 and Darrien Broomfield bagged 18 points and a dozen rebounds.
Kitzman rang up 39 points and 14 rebounds as Fulton grounded NorKam Saints 84-52.Isaac supplied 28 points and six assists.
Fulton iced South Okanagan Hornets 81-76 with Kitzman getting 28 points and Broomfield adding 22 points and 16 boards. Isaac had 20 points.
“It was a great weekend for the boys; they played well as a team,” said Fulton head coach Dale Olson.
The Maroons are in the South Okanagan tournament starting Friday.
