The Competition Exteriors Dynamite exploded in Vernon Women’s Slo-Pitch League play Wednesday night at Kin Park.

The Nitros brushed back the White House Gators 10-7 before tying the defending champion Ice Cold Pitches 15-15, improving to 2-4-2.

Karen Christian went 3-for-4 with two RBI as the Nitros stopped the Gators. Jessica Sinclair drove in two runs on two hits, while Rae Cohen was 3-for-3 with one ribbie and Linda Castonguay 2-for-2 with one RBI. Paige Leavitt had three hits in four at bats.

Lindsey Sherriff supplied three hits and three RBI as Competiton Exterior tied the Ice Cold Pitches.

Susan Groot went 4-for-4 with two RBI, while Cohen and Christian each drove in two runs on three hits. Shelly Ouellette was 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Jackie Stakkestad was 3-for-4 with an RBI and Betty Reid  added three hits.

The Ice Cold Pitches clipped Tenacity 15-14 in their opener, while Tenacity finished the night by outlasting the Gators 19-15.

In mixed action, Predator Trucking went 6-0 over the mini weekend, outscoring their opponents 66-29.

They played two close games, grounding Average Joes 4-1 and shading the Hurricanes 7-6.

In Tuesday night play, the Truckers pulled off a never-before-seen play.

A ground ball was picked up by shortstop Jeff Stephenson and as he went to make the toss to first, first baseman Mandy Christensen was found to be in her lawnchair, texting and enjoying a beverage.

Timely home runs by Kyle Adam and Stephenson secured the win and kept Predator Trucking undefeated after 12 games.
