The Vernon Panthers will play for a provincial girls basketball title Saturday in Langley.

Lonny Mazurak’s third-ranked Panthers advanced to the B.C. AA girls final with a 73-66 over the second-ranked Langley Christian Lightning in Friday’s semifinal.

VSS will take on the No.1-ranked Seycove Seyhawks of North Vancouver in the championship.

The Seyhawks downed No.4 South Kamloops Titans 67-60 in the other semifinal.

The Panthers are the second school team to reach a provincial final this year.

Sean Smith’s football Panthers lost the B.C. AA championship game to the Seaquam Seahawks of Delta.
