The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men’s basketball team opened up their final weekend before Christmas with a victory.

Playing at home on the Warner Rentals court on a Friday night (Dec 1), the ‘Pack won their second in a row as they dumped the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves 86-80.

Vernon’s Mike Rouault led the ‘Pack with 22 points. He added nine rebounds, four assists and two steals and never came off the court in the game. Rouault scored 19 of his points in the opening half.

Armstrong’s Ben Kornelsen had two points and six rebounds in 14 minutes of action as the UBC Okanagan Heat lost 80-51 at home to the Manitoba Bisons.

In women’s action, the UBCO Heat lost 69-45 at home to Manitoba.

Vernon’s Jordan Korol led all players with 15 rebounds, and added two points, for the Heat. Teammate Brianna Falk of Vernon had two points.
