Salmon Arm foursome wins Capri Cup

A Salmon Arm entry won the ninth annual Capri Cup Tuesday at the Vernon Golf Country Club.

A Salmon Arm entry won the ninth annual Capri Cup ladies golf tournament Tuesday at the Vernon Golf &Country Club.

The event, sponsored by Capri Insurance, featured 32 four-person teams from all over the Okanagan and four each from Shuswap Lakes Estates and Rivershore in Kamloops.

Joan Hokanson, Linda Rivard, Norma Hobbs and Erika Motherwell of the Salmon Arm Golf &Country Club finished first at 27-under (net 119).

The Shuswap Lake Estates foursome of Wendie Colley, Kathy Carpenter, Doreen Byers and Bonnie Babson were runners-up at 25-under (net 121). Third place at 24-under and net 122 went to the Vernon team of Anne Monteith, Sue Cmolik, Connie Traxel and Colleen Barker (Predator Ridge).

4th place: VGCC – Rae Jensen, Maria Smith, Gerry Longworth, and Beth Houston, -23 (net 123).

5th place: VGCC/Hillview – Sue Beaudry Kelly Chapman, Jewlie Milligan and Sandra Bradley, -22 (net 124).

6th place: VGCC – Rosmarie Rachwalski, Debbie Fisher, Norma Lemiski and Donna Burns, -22 (net 124).

7th place: VGCC – Denise McKay, Sharon Byers, Linda Borger and Sandy Lays, -22 (net 124).

8th Place: VGCC- Suzanne Hocevar, Cheryl Schmidt, Joanne Keis, and Pam Farrell, -22 (net 124).

9th place: Predator Ridge – Maureen Turner, Gloria Craig, Monica Jarvis and Doreen Butterworth, -21, (net 125).

10th Place: Shuswap Lake Estates – Sue Martin, Noriko Yoshie, Janice McPherson and Mary-Jo Mackie, -20 (net 126).
