Sure shots from across B.C. and Alberta were greeted by great weather as they took aim at the annual Labour Day Classic, hosted by the North Okanagan Trap & Skeet Club last weekend.
“The shoot was a great success, although total numbers of shooters were down, we had great weather, fabulous targets and fun was had by all,” said Lisa Salt, of the North Okanagan club.
There were a couple of big milestones over the weekend, one by Karen Pike of Victoria, who shot her 250,000th registered PITA target.
Paul Lirette of Hinton, Alta. reached his 100,000th registered PITA target. The 82-year-old is an honourary member of the North Okanagan club, and turned in some fabulous scores.
The event featured fun events such as an oyster and corn feast, a by-donation Dave Jeffrey beef dinner and live music.
