Sports camp vows Epic activities

The Epic Sports Academy is offering two camps for boys and girls between the ages of seven and 12 in Armstrong and Salmon Arm

Looking to find a thrill-a-minute unique summer sports camp to keep your kids active?

The Epic Sports Academy is offering two camps for boys and girls between the ages of seven and 12 in Armstrong and Salmon Arm.

The Mega Sports camps go July 4-8 and July 11-15 at Armstrong Elementary School and South Broadview Elementary in Salmon Arm from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily.

The camps allows participants to learn and improve their skills in volleyball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, flag football, softball, track and field, badminton, ringette and swimming.

The second camp, called Sports in Action, takes place Aug. 8-12 and Aug. 15-19 at the same schools. The camps involve more teamwork and imagination. Campers will have a blast playing dodgeball, ultimate Frisbee, skittleball, crazy games, floor hockey, handball and capture the flag.

Coaches Gregg and Michelle Nicholson, who teach at schools in Armstrong, have both taught and coached for more than 20 years.

“Our philosophy is to provide sports activities that are fun and positive, which reinforces a healthy and active lifestyle for all participants,” said Gregg.

“We are devoted to building each camper’s character and when a camper leaves Epic Sports Academy, they will have improved on their skills, developed more self-confidence, all while having fun.”

Costs are $200 per camp with friend and family discounts available. Contact Gregg Nicholson at 250-503-6661 or by email: nick10@telus.net.
