Kim Sylvester scored twice as the OTC/Sunterra Custom Homes Sistas clipped Capri Insurance Brew Crew 2-1 in North Okanagan Women’s Soccer Leagie Division 2 play Thursday night at Marshall #5.

Carmen Kinniburgh and Miranda Dalhuisen set up Sylvester’s winning snipe. Diane Neudorf and Cassandra Otto shared goalkeeping duties for the Sistas (2-1). The Brew Crew are 3-1.

The Do-Itt Drywall Mud Sharks ambushed The Mix 6-0 at Marshall #2.

Courtney Douma anchored a back line which hasn’t yielded a goal in three victories.

Striker Hailey Noakes pulled the hat trick, while Janelle Cole, Lenai Schmidt and Kate Alexander added singles. Bryanna Cole helped Noakes apply heavy pressure up front. The Mix dipped to 1-3.

The Silver Stars stopped host Summerland 2-1 in Okanagan Men’s 50s Soccer League play under the lights Thursday at Dale Meadows Park.

Veteran Tim Penaluna fired the Stars’ opening goal on a corker from the right side. Summerland later gave up an own goal. The Stars are 4-0-1.

The Penticton TC Auto slammed Vernon Kal Tire 6-1 at Mission Fields in Kelowna.

Tony Munoz supplied five goals and Mike Killick one for the unbeaten Penticton crew. Denis Chabot replied for the Tiremen (2-2-1) and took the Red Robin Man of the Match for Vernon.

Midfielder Jim Sparrow also played well and just missed low on a penalty shot. The tiremen lost keeper Pete Richter with a red card at 50 minutes.
