Tenacity moved within a point of first-place Ice Cold Pitches by tying the Competition Exteriors Dynamite 16-16 and grounding the White House Mortgage Gators 7-5 in Vernon Women’s Slo-Pitch League play
Holly Read rapped four singles to drive in three runs in Tenacity’s tie, while Christine Sherman knocked in three runs with a double and two singles.
Greg Barry went 4-for-4 for the Nitros, while Linda Castonguay was 3-for-3 with 2 ribbies and Shelly Ouellette and Jen Ternier both were 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Leigha Stenhouse and Karen Christian each produced three hits, while Sandi Demers was 2-for-2 with an RBI and Brittany Linford also garnered two hits in two at bats.
Colette Chudyk tossed a gem as Tenacity toppled the Gators, while Lynn Gregiore had a single, double and a sac fly scoring two runs and Sarah Braddick stroked a single and a triple.
Elli Lane supplied three hits for the Gators, while Alicia Melnick and Nancy Lafreniere each drove in two runs on two hits. Courtney McKenzie was 2-for-3 with one RBI, while Sarah McDonnell and Michelle Embleton each went 2-for-3.
