Vernon’s Delaney Properties Tenacity won the Women’s D Slo-Pitch Provincials last weekend in Kelowna, grounding the Buzz’d of Vancouver 14-7 in Monday’s final

After losing by one run to Buzz’d in the morning, Tenacity reached the finals by stopping the Kelowna Vixens 13-7.

The Delaney girls scored 11 runs in the first two innings and held on for the gold medal. Pitcher Camille Godard was stellar and she got plenty of strong defensive support. Amanda Caldow won MVP honours.

In preliminary play, the Tenacity bounced Buzz’d in their first game on Saturday then lost by one run to the Vixens.

On Sunday, Vernon registered wins over Battitude and the Chaotic Pac. Those wins put Vernon into a Monday morning must-win in order to go straight to the finals. Vernon lost by one run against Buzz’d, forcing a second game and huge win over the Vixens.
