The Fix Auto Vernon Vipers struggled in Bantam Tier 2 hockey tournament play in West Kelowna. The Snakes’ best result came in their opening tilt, a 4-4 draw against Salmon Arm. Dex Elders picked up a pair from Brayden Jones and Keeghan McRae. Mason McLennan and Drayden Dougan tapped in singles from Joe Eggert. Ethan Huizinga made 31 saves. The Vipers then fell 7-3 to West Kelowna, with McLennan netting a hat trick. Nicholas Cherkowski and Sam Eggert each added a pair of assists. The Vipers came up short in a 6-5 nail-biter loss to Kelowna. Brennan Schwarr scored twice for Vernon, singles to Elders, McLennan and Eggert. The auto crew finished with a 6-3 loss to Kelowna, with Damian Coljee-Fehr and Cody Webb picking up singles from Caden Bracken, Eggert and McLennan. Jayden Jensen made 34 saves.
