Vancouver, Edmonton reach Coke Classic final

The Vancouver Thunderbirds and Edmonton NWZ Raiders meet in Sunday's Coca-Cola Classic championship final.

The undefeated Vancouver Thunderbirds and the Edmonton NWZ Raiders will meet in the A final of the 41st annual Coca-Cola Pee Wee Invitational Pee Wee Hockey Tournament Sunday at 6 p.m. at Civic Arena.

The 4-0 T-Birds reached the Amy Myles Memorial championship by grounding the Bow Valley Flames of Calgary 11-4 in a Saturday semifinal. Nick Varabioff and captain Tyson Lin each supplied 2+2 for Vancouver.

Edmonton stopped the South Delta Storm 6-3 in the other semifinal, getting 2+1 from Briar Whyte. Jordan Bogress scored twice for the Storm, who topped their preliminary pool at 3-0.
