A quartet from the host Vernon Golf and Country Club finished in between two teams from Shuswap Lake Estates in the top-three at the eighth annual Capri Cup ladies golf tournament.
The event is sponsored by Capri Insurance.
“We had a full field of 32, four-lady teams from the Okanagan Valley,” said event spokesperson Barb Silvester. “A good day was had by all.”
The Vernon foursome of Lisa Krushen, Linda Edwards, Deanna Moglove and Susan Anderson finished second behind the quartet from Shuswap Lake Estates, consisting of Sharon Ballinger, Pat Martz, Tanni Butler and Marilyn Bentley.
The SLE squad of Gail Orser, Lana German, Jance VanBeveren and Sue Demenok was third.
Maria Taylor, Sue Cmolik, Susan O’Neill and Wendy Robinson from Vernon finished sixth, one spot ahead of clubmates Jane Hackman, Anita Jewell, Donna Schultz and Brenda Samis.
The team of Rae Jensen, Nancy Davies, Rita Foisy and Beth Houston rounded out the top-10, finishing 10th.
The Vernon foursome of Margaret Craig, Gail Fairburn, Wilma Hamer and Helen Guest ended up 11th.
A Vernon/Predator Ridge squad of Terry Loschuk, Judy Hagen, Darlene Walker and Bernice Mahapatra finished 13th.
Sue Carter, Evelyn LeRose, Marilyn Vat and Lorna Jaschke were 14th and the quartet of Doreen Walton, Theres Herschbold, Lynn Webster and Trudy Hodge finished 15th.
KP winners included Laurel Wilsom, Mia Sakakibara, Rosmarie Rachwalski and Cora Prevost.
