The Mighty Pucks lived up to their billing.

The Pucks, sponsored by Grizzly Curb and Concrete and Bannister Collision, melted the Everton Ridge Homes Ice Dragons 12-5 in the all-Vernon final of the McDonald’s AtoMc Atom House minor hockey tournament at Kal Tire Place.

Both teams went undefeated in round robin play.

Jaiden Rae and Roman Balanger led the Mighty Pucks with three goals each, Luke Mitchell added 2+1, Cadel Simms chipped in 1+2 and single goals went to Jayden Godsoe and Joel O’Brien. Luc Gilbert shut the door in goal on the Dragons, who were led by Dominik Silbernagel and Kobe Bruhwiler.

The teams paid special thanks to Vickie Dranchuk for chairing the tournament, and all of the parents who volunteered their time.

PEEWEE SUPER LEAGUE

After another lengthy break in their schedule, the Vernon Fairfield Inn and Suites Broncos got back to North Okanagan Super League action this past Sunday by hosting Salmon Arm. The Broncos came out on the losing end of a 9-3 score.

Evan Woodroff, Rowan Kwast and Clayten Colmorgen scored for the Broncos, while Charlie McGinty, Tylan Hutton and Ashton Rysen chipped in with an assist each. The Broncos are now 5-3-2 on the year.
