Fulton Maroons went 2-1 in the latest Okanagan Valley Senior Girls High School Rugby 7s league action, held at Rutland Secondary School Wednesday, April 27.

The Maroons defeated the host Voodoos 15-5, getting tries for Paige Cover, Leonie Engles and Sofie Poulsen.

Fulton then got past the Merritt Panthers 20-12 on two tries from Poulsen and one each from Cover and Lily Schlorff.

The Vernon school’s only blip came against the Salmon Arm Jewels, who scored a 15-5 victory.

Sakura Tsukada had the lone try for Fulton.

Senior girls rugby has returned to the pitch at Grahame Park at Fulton Secondary for the first time in 12 years.
