The Vernon Re/Max Tigers are through to the Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League final, but the Armstrong Shamrocks sure made them work for it.

The Cats used a five-goal performance from big Mike Quarin to earn a 9-7 win in Game 4 of their Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League semifinal, eliminating the host Shamrocks in a best-of-five series Thursday night at Nor-Val Sports Centre.

Vernon will now face the Kamloops Venom, who hold home-floor advantage in the league final. That series could begin as early as Saturday in Kamloops, however, it has yet to be confirmed.
