The Vernon U12A Venom went 3-0 in ringette tournament play in Osoyoos last weekend, facing Lower Mainland teams.

Vernon iced the Fraser Valley Fury 10-3 in their opening game with major scoring from Hillary Quiring (2+2), Aimee Skinner (2+1), Makenna Jackson (2+2).

Singles came from Amelia Johnson, Kristen Francks, Sydney Lewis and Caryss Hill.

Teagan Schober chipped in with two assists.

The Venom then took down the Vancouver Hurricanes 9-1 with strong defensive play coming from teammates Kennedy Jackson (1+1) and Johnson. Netminder Jordan Tung was solid.

Vernon then dispatched Delta 7-4 Sunday morning with Tung superb again in net.

Jackson pocketed 2+2, while Sophia Bilodeau, Lewis and Skinner rounded out the scoring.

The Venom, coached by Kendra Ostafie (former Western Canadian champion), Dean Francks and Darcy Quiring, are 4-0.

The Vernon U14A Rebels brushed back the Kelowna U16Bs 3-2 with Kristin Ho pulling the hat trick on assists by Brynn Korol and Abby Sveistrup.

The Rebels received a power performance from goalie Kaila Summerfelt.
