Vernon Vipers blank West Kelowna 3-0

Vernon Vipers score three third-period goals to ground West Kelowna Warriors 3-0 in BCHL play Wednesday night at Kal Tire Place.

The Vernon Vipers buried a trio of third-period goals to brush back the West Kelowna Warriors 3-0 in B.C. Hockey League play Wednesday night at Kal Tire Place.

Recording singles for Vernon were Anthony Latina, on a powerplay, Luke Shiplo and Liam Finlay. Jarrod Schamerhorn made 37 saves for his second career shutout in front of 1,470 fans.

The second-place Snakes (18-8-1-2) moved four points ahead of the Warriors (15-10-0-5) in the Interior Division.

Vernon begins a three-game coastal road trip Friday against the Powell River Kings (14-8-0-7) at Hap Parker Arena.
