The Vernon Vipers are shoring up their forward depth.

The BC Hockey League club swung a deal with the Cowichan Valley Capitals for forward Noah Grolnic. Going Cowichan's way are future considerations.

A native of Arvad, Colorado, Grolnic (a Brandon Tanev lookalike) spent last season between the Chippewa Steel and Colorado Grit of the North American Hockey League.

Through 10 games for the Capitals this year, the 19-year-old has one goal, six assists for seven points in 10 games.

At five-feet-10 and 185 pounds, Grolinc will look to improve the Vipers current 5-8-3 record.

Next up for Vernon is a home bout with the Trail Smoke Eaters on Friday, Nov. 8. The Snakes will entertain the Sherwood Park Crusaders Saturday, Nov. 9.
