The Langley Thunder are on the brink of elimination in the Western Lacrosse Association final.
The Thunder trail the Victoria Shamrocks 3-2 in the best-of-seven senior A lacrosse finals after falling 11-8 in Game 5 Sunday at the Langley Events Centre.
Langley visits Victoria for Game 6 Thursday. If necessary, Game 7 would go Sunday at the LEC.
“Kudos to Victoria, they played a good road game,” Thunder coach Rod Jensen told Black Press.
“They came in and got off to a good start. They came in very focused and we didn’t match their energy early.”
Thunder netminder Brodie MacDonald, a Vernon native, made 49 saves as Langley was outshot 60-43.
