WATCH: Chip Kelly’s up-tempo Eagles out race Washington

The former Oregon coach's fast, fast, FAST tempo was too much for the Redskins, but just right for Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy.

LeSean McCoy and Michael Vick were a dynamic duo for Philadelphia on Monday.

Haven’t you heard?

Former Oregon surgeon general (not literally) Chip Kelly earned his first career NFL win on Sunday, coaching the Eagles to not only a 1-0 record in hostile D.C., but also the first exciting bit of Philly football since 2010.

Kelly, the man who turned the Ducks into the fashion icons of the NCAA and perhaps permanently established our Pacific Northwest region as football’s ground zero of cool, left college for the pros earlier this year.

A lot has been made of what his new team would like like. Rather, what their offence would look like.

The Oregon Ducks were known for being fast, fast, and fast. It was that speed that led them to within a field goal of the 2011 BCS Championship, and to an undefeated (in regulation) record last year.

In Philadelphia, we knew he’d have Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy, and DeSean Jackson as weapons, but we also knew they’d been on-field impotent for two complete seasons.

The hype was real and the experiment was a blitz.

The Eagles could very well go 1-15 (well, they won’t) but they’re perfect right now, and they got there by dismantling last season’s sweethearts, the Washington Redskins.

Enjoy the highlights.
