SilverStar Mountain Resort’s Bike Park opens for the 2024 seasons Saturday, June 15.

SilverStar resort’s favourite summertime weekend arrived a little early this year.

The Vernon mountain resort’s popular bike park opened early June 15 and 16, a teaser ahead of the official opening day.

“Then we’ll be back for the rest of the season from our official opening day of Friday, June 21,” the Okanagan resort said in a news release.

Welcoming riders for 30 years, the park features more than 69 kilometres of trails, 870+ berms and a range of flow and tech trails, ranging “from easy greens to gnarly double blacks.”

  • 15 per cent Beginner
  • 40 per cent Intermediate
  • 45 per cent Advanced

“We’ll have over 90 per cent of our DH (Downhill) trails cleaned, buffed and ready to go for opening weekend. Please ride with care and obey all mountain signage.”

SilverStar’s Trail Crew has been working very hard to get the mountain into shape and ready for riders to get on the trails early – check out the map here.

What riders can expect on opening weekend:

• Blast Off is a new build – remember to Pre-ride, Re-ride then Free-ride!

• The tops of Double Dog and Jedi Mind Trick will be closed due to snow and construction;

• Enduro trails and Beowulf will be closed;

• The Vault Skills Zone is under construction;

• Chien Chaud is newly finished to cross mountain;

• Silver Shack will be open as will the lower cross-country trails.
