Some Kelowna residents were startled during their lunch hour when four military helicopters flew overhead.

The four large ‘choppas’ were caught on video as they flew over Enterprise Way shortly before 12 p.m. on June 23.

The helicopters appear to be the Royal Canadian Air Force CH-146 Griffon, which is a type of tactical transport helicopter.

The Canadian Air Force regularly engages in training exercises across Canada.

Earlier this week, an incident during a Royal Canadian Air Force training flight in Ontario resulted in two crew members being hospitalized. The search for the two remaining crew members is ongoing.
