The Prince George Spruce Kings connected three times on the powerplay as they grounded the Vernon Vipers 5-2 in B.C. Hockey League action Friday night at Wesbild Centre.

Second star Cam Lawson paced the Prince George attack with a pair of goals, with 1+3 coming from first star defenceman Bradley Ryan.

TJ Dumonceaux figured in each of Vernon’s goals, opening the scoring in the second period with a gorgeous shot just inside the post from the top of the circle. He, set up Mitch Van Teeling for a consolation snipe late in the third frame.

The Vipers visit the Trail Smoke Eaters Saturday night at Cominco Arena.
