A Vernon resident has been recognized internationally.

Mark DeVolder, an International Change Management speaker has been awarded the top 25 speaker designation in 2017 by Speaking.com, a U.S. speakers bureau. This is the second year in a row that DeVolder has been recognized.

“I would like to recognize all those who have made this success possible,” said DeVolder, who speaks on changbe, employeeengagement and resilience.

“Thank you to all my clients, friends and especially the people of Vernon for their enthusiastic support.”

Each year, Speaking.com recognizes 25 speakers based on expertise, professionalism, presentation skills, originalcontribution to the field and public votes cast at the Speaking.com website. More than 27,000 votes were cast from aroundthe world for the 2017 nominees.

In January, it was announced that DeVolder was voted second in the Top 25 speaker awards. He shares the top 25 speakerrecognition with Nobel Prize winners, Joseph Stiglitz and Muhammad Yunus and CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

DeVolder has worked with some of the largest organizations in the world, including PepsiCo, Verizon, McDonald’s, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Siemens and Suncor.

His speaking career has brought him many challenges and opportunities, including a private client concert with EnriqueIglesias in Monaco, racing camels around the pyramids in Egypt, working with NASA astronauts, hanging around withorangutans in Borneo and taking a 15-minute break to put out a fire on stage in Jamaica.

He has also appeared before audiences from Monaco and Kuala Lumpur. to Singapore and Istanbul.

In March, Mark returns to Dubai to speak at the Arabian Society of Human Resource Management.

“This event has the largest companies in the region with their human resources directors in attendance, including SaudiAramco, the biggest company in the world,” said DeVolder.

“The venue is at the fabulous JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, the tallest hotel in the world.”
