Get ready for the weekend with the Black Press Social Squad.

Anna Zeitner lets you know what’s going on in the Okanagan-Shuswap from June 9 to 11.

Starting Friday, check out the Okanagan Fat Cat Festival in Kelowna at Waterfront Park which runs untill Saturday at 4 p.m.

On Saturday in Kelowna, TedX presents Today at Quails Gate Winery, with guest speaker Fort McMurray fire chief Darby Allen.

Lumby Days is happening all weekend long in the North Okanagan, with events such as chainsaw racing, battle axe hatchet throwing.

The second annual Rocking the Beach classic rock tribute takes place in Salmon Arm at Barefoot Beach Resort.

Music lovers can also take in the 22st Annual Summerland Bluegrass Festival all weekend long at the Summerland Rodeo Grounds.

On Sunday in Kelowna head down to the Apple Bowl for the 2017 Fresh Air Women’s Run and Strong Kids Run from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
