Cookies spread smiles to sick kids at Vernon hospital

Tim Horton’s Smile Cookies back until May 4, food bank supported in Lake Country

Some sweet treats are raising funds to help care for kids at Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH).

Smile Cookies are back at Tim Hortons, being sold until Saturday, May 4 in support of the VJH Foundation.

Every Smile Cookie purchased at the four Vernon and one Lumby locations will help to provide much-needed equipment to care for critically ill children.

The VJH Foundation is currently raising money to purchase two additional central monitoring systems for the pediatric ward at the hospital.

In Lake Country, proceeds from Smile Cookies will support the food bank and other charities until May 5.

Kids recently volunteered to decorate the cookies at the Lake Country Food Bank and made a little video to support the cause.

Those wanting to purchase a bulk order can do so online 24 hours in advance for pick up.

Pre-order forms for Vernon and Lumby are available at: https://files.constantcontact.com/da3f6f60101/ddda5b27-9397-4635-a686-1280ac3afe0e.pdf.
