A local event planner has put together a full day of fun aimed at keeping a community senior’s centre in business.

Myk Richelle has spent months putting together the details for a Schubert Market Sunday, Aug. 20.

“The Schubert Centre does so much for the community. I wanted to do something to give back to them,” said Richelle of Earnest Events.

The fundraising market features local vendors, raffles and prizes, a barbecue, colouring contest and live music featuring Dale Basnett.

The fun runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the senior centre, 3305 30th Ave., in the Diamond and Emerald rooms.

“The funds will be going towards the Schubert Centre and towards whatever they need to continue operating and providing for the seniors of our community!”

Featured vendors include Lil Lia’s Real Frozen Yogurt, Charmed Vibes, Lunar Creations Canada, Melting Moons Artwork, French’s Custom Creations, HeartsbyBoopDee, Stella’s Soul Crystals, Goal Queens, Rapunzel’s Fibre Co, Lala’s Freeze Dried Snakcs, 6one6Designs and Shar’s Pure Romance.
