World Thinking Day is celebrated Saturday, Feb. 22, by Girl Scouts and Guides from across 150 countries.
The special day originated in 1926 when delegates from around the world met at Camp Edith Macy — now known as the Edith Macy Conference Centre in New York — and decided this day would be known as World Thinking Day: a special day for all Girl Guides and Scouts.
