The Kelowna Polo Classic is returning June 29-30 bigger and better than ever.

The tournament brings in up to 16 teams and as many as 200 horses and is one of the largest polo tournaments in the Pacific Northwest.

On Saturday, June 29, attendees can enjoy catered food and themed bars, including the Okanagan Spirits Prohibition Lounge and an Italian bistro.

The Sunday will see the launch of the Family Day Tailgate. Families can park next to the field to watch the tournament while enjoying games, bouncy castles, face painting, a barbecue, and a cash bar.

The event as a whole fundraises for the support of young chefs and sommeliers in the Okanagan. Some proceeds also support young people in Kelowna interested in polo.

The dress code is in effect for the event. Women are expected to wear a fancy hat, dresses, and bright colours. Shoes should be flats or wedges. For the men, a polo shirt with white denim pants is encouraged. Men should wear a stylish hat and loafers or boots.
