Okanagan Regional Library, the Canadian Federation of University Women – Vernon Chapter and the National Film Board of Canada invite the public to a screening Thursday of the documentary film, Buying Sex.

“This important NFB documentary examines the state of prostitution laws in Canada through the eyes of sex workers, former sex workers, policy makers, lawyers and even male buyers who make their own claims for why the laws need to be changed,” said Michele Rule, ORL communications manager.

Doors open at 6:45 p.m., film starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are welcome for the Vernon Women’s Shelter.

The Vernon library is located at 2800 30th Ave.
