Sicamous is welcoming the warmer weather with a spring fling.

The Sicamous Garden Society is hosting its 2nd Annual Spring Festival on Saturday, May 4 at The Hub on Finlayson Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Like last year, the event will include all kinds of plants, a variety of vendors, kids’ activities and four hands-on workshops. The lineup includes Yoga for Gardening at 10 a.m. with Coleen Dales from Hyde Mountain Yoga, Pollination Planting Made Easy at 11 a.m. with Lisa and Jazmyn from the Garden Society, Plantain and Pine with Erin Green from Greeniebird Healing Garden at 12 p.m. and Mushroom Logs with fungi expert Andy Hutchison at 1 p.m.

Pre-registration and the full schedule can be found on the Festival Facebook page, with organizers recommending a $10 cash donation for each workshop to cover time and materials.

People are also welcome to come shop the diverse range of vendors offering wellness, plants, artisan goods and flowers, while kids can have their faces painted by donation and get creative making a Mother’s Day planter. The Tsilhqot’in BBQ Food Truck will also be on-site providing lunch options with its meaty menu.
