Spring clean begins

Armstrong's annual Community Clean-Up runs from Sunday to April 23.

Armstrong is preparing for spring.

The annual Community Clean-Up runs from Sunday to April 23.

“Close to 400 people will be participating in our community,” said Natalie Garbay, deputy corporate officer, in a report to city council.

The participating groups include the Armstrong-Spallumcheen Trails Society, Armstrong Elementary School, Falkland Elementary, First Baptist Church and the Girl Guides.

“The city’s public works crew will take the bags of garbage and recycling to the landfill,” said Garbay.

Armstrong’s clean-up has been registered with Pitch-In Week, a nationwide event sponsored by Tim Hortons and other partners.
