The Vernon Ski Club’s 48th annual Ski and Snowboard Swap gets underway Saturday

A long-standing tradition is getting residents in gear for the highly anticipated ski season.

The Vernon Ski Club’s 48th annual Ski and Snowboard Swap gets underway Saturday at the Vernon Recreation Complex from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Racks of new and used equipment and clothing for downhill, snowboard and cross country will be available.

“The Vernon Ski Club is a non-profit organization and the Vernon Ski Swap is our big annual fundraising event,” said Ross Blankley, club volunteer. “We appreciated your support.”

Those wishing to bring by consignments can do so Friday, Oct. 14 between 3:30 and 7 p.m. Consignment tickets are $2 each at the door. Payout takes place Saturday between 12:30 and 3 p.m.
