Hers was not a normal childhood. Before the age of eight Keri Lefave had lived through repeated sexual abuse by an older brother, and a ‘family friend.’ As the years went by multiple forms of abuse continued in her relationships and then, into her first marriage. She gained the strength to leave but entered into a spiral of self destruction.
Fortunately, the story doesn’t end there.
Unfinished – A Personal Journey of Healing, Self-Discovery and Resilience is Lefave’s personal story. From her dysfunctional childhood through years of abusive relationships, her quest to find love and inner peace eventually led to triumph in the shape of this memoir. This work, which was written under the pseudonym, Isana, is about overcoming adversity to ultimately feeling complete. It is a book about hope.
Lefave will be reading from her book, Unfinished, at the Vernon Public Library on Saturday, April 27th at 11 a.m.
