The British comedy duo who brought O Christmas Tea to the Okanagan, James & Jamesy, are now bringing their Easy as Pie tour to the valley in March.
James & Jamesy: Easy As Pie has a stop in Vernon at the Performing Arts Centre Thursday, March 28 7:30 p.m. and in Kelowna March 30 at the Rotary Centre for the Arts.
In their wildly inventive production, James and Jamesy attempt to perform the quintessential comedy routine: Placing a pie upon a face. They fail.
The two (actors Aaron Malkin and Alastair Knowles) are left to pick apart the ingredients of the routine, and dig into their own histories to determine what’s preventing them from completing their act. Their journey to uncover the root of their failure pulls back the curtain on the residue of traumatic events, the fallibility of memory, and the role that love plays in the healing process.
Through failure and perseverance to discover more about themselves and their connection to the world, James & Jamesy take the audience through a rollercoaster of emotion and imagination, all wrapped up in their signature tour-de-force physical comedy style and brilliant wordplay.
Heralded as “The greatest performers of physical comedy in Canada” this is a show not to be missed.
Tickets on sale now at EasyAsPieComedy.com.
