Vernon and area elementary school students are once again seizing the opportunity to display their artwork in public.
The Vernon Public Art Gallery is hosting Art from the Heart, the annual student exhibition by elementary students enrolled in School District #22.
Every year the students, under the guidance of their art teachers, delight viewers with their creations, said VPAG executive director Dauna Kennedy Grant.
”The gallery is very grateful for the ongoing support from Kal Tire to help make this exhibition a reality and offer budding artists a chance to exhibit in a public gallery space,” she said.
Art from the Heart opens Saturday, March 18 from 1 to 3:30 p.m with a public reception. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of art, music, coffee, tea, cookies and punch, as well as the VPAG’s current exhibition, recurring cycles by Shinsuke Minegishi.
Art from the Heart continues to April 14. For more information, visit vernonpublicartgallery.com.
